Memories

A couple of weeks ago Justin got a phone call from a friend from home, Sue Koerper. The phone call was to tell Justin that Tommy (her Senior son who was last year's MVP and captain of the soccer team at Justin's alma mater) had made it to the Missouri State Soccer Championship Finals in Blue Springs, Missouri. 

Justin played a huge role in Sue's kids lives, spending summer after summer with them growing up. Justin was their life guard and her kids were "pool rats". Sue recognized Justin as someone she wanted her son to grow up like. Not only was it important for Justin to be there for Tommy, but the soccer coach is the same man who coached Justin many years ago. So, we took Friday off and headed to Blue Springs South to watch the game to reunite with Justin's alma mater fans!

After the game, we had the brief opportunity to take a few snapshots. Coach Drake, surprised to see Justin,  grabbed his sweatshirt pockets with both hands saying, "There's the volleyball player. Wanna come play goalie for me again?" Both of them had the biggest smiles! 

It was such a fantastic day! I love meeting people who were such an important part in Justin's life. Lots of memories...
